Christmas has been and gone with mum here. It’s a long trip to take from Finland but luckily she is a pro on travel.
We went back to San blas for the last time and stayed in Coco Banderos almost the entire stay. Coco banderos is a group of 4 islands and the first time we went there over 2 years ago there was only one hut on one of the islands.
Now the island has a hostel, tourists get launched out there to experience the island dream. Also another island is built on although that’s a kuna family.
The place is stunningly beautiful.
We were buddy boating with Magic and we had fun times there.
Charlie celebrated his 8th birthday there in true island style with hotdogs and cake. With a sprinkle of sand and few ants…..

Must still run the story about the poor sloth we rescued in Linton Marina. A friend came over and told us that he has been sitting on a boat for 2 days and must be starving and thirsty. We went to have a look and now the poor thing was hanging off the pontoon….
So we got a bag and lifted him up into a wheelbarrow . He was just so cute. We all laughed at his funny face as we wheeled him to the woods. I think he loved the speed of that journey!
We got a new headsail, finally and we decided to give the old one to one of our kuna friends. We traded it for 18 big lobsters! He went away as one happy guy and came back a week later to show us his new sail. He was very proud and told us it increased his speed greatly. His mum made another 15 I think he said….

We also did a housesit in Panama City. Great way to stay for free and for the kids to have pet time. We loved this sit with the two cats, Netflix and play station.

So now in shelter bay for the last time. We are fixing, cleaning and sorting the boat out. Studying charts and getting information.
We have all the paperwork sorted, just got to pay the money for the canal transit and hopefully we get a date in the end of the month. All exciting stuff. Finally we are going, been hanging around this area far to long so now we are ready!
Next stop will be Perla she islands on the Pacific side and then onwards to Ecuador!
