We needed to go to Santa Marta but needed a Marina space. Tricky in Cartagena as dock full of local or charter boats. And we draw deep, nearly 3 meters so only couple of places we could go and they were of course occupied….
Kept pestering the office every day and finally we heard that the beautiful swan boat was leaving….hurrah!
So in we went, slightly nervous as it was med mooring and we don’t usually do that….med mooring is ass end in first so reverse in. It went perfect! Phew!
So tidied up, packed ready for next day all very exited.
Buss up to Santa Marta takes around 4h, kids on gadgets, lunch with us and off we went.

When we got there and stepped off outside our friend Stewart’s place there was a lot of shouting and screaming. And Natalie , Alice’s friend was so happy to see Alice as we were to see her. And they got a dog, Terry the terrier, the daft mutt, totally lovable and cute.
So the days rolled on. We went down to the Marina to see if we still recognise anybody and yes we did. But mostly they all remembered the kids. Even the lock to the washrooms that require your fingerprint worked on James. Mini market still there where we buy the best crema leche ice cream .
