Last week we did a quick trip to Panama City. We all needed a break from the boat being on land and as usual, something goes wrong. The antifoul for the lady’s bottom didn’t work and the job looks shoddy. Luckily the company we bought the paint from are being very good and paying for the new paint and delivery costs….and another lift out to do the job again.
So the boat is back in water , finally. Although we will have to be lifted out again…..
So the bus journey is always rather interesting from Isla Linton to Colon. Full to the brim, windows open if you are lucky or when it rains the windows have to be shut. It gets hot and uncomfortable and usually at least one of the children gets sick. This time it was Alice. Luckily they are all pros in puking so it’s all very neatly and quietly done…….although fellow passengers gets awfully fidgety and worried……
The bus journey from Colon to Panama City is more civilised . Air con and soft seats.
The locals always take such a pride in doing their children’s hair, like this little one.
Did some shopping for shoes and toys which the kids paid for with their pocket money. The sad thing was that James wallet got stolen from the rucksack, luckily little money left but his precious Pokemon card he got from Julian in Canada went with it. That was most upsetting!

On the way back we went to pick up the kayak we bought as the main present for Christmas to all of them. The boys bought the paddles. Great thing. Luckily we got it back with Roger the taxi driver…..
