James was super happy to go back to school. The other two started in a small independent school called life school just a few minutes drive from our house. Alice knew few of the girls already but Charlie didn’t know anybody. Needless to say he wasn’t happy….not easy to step in to group of boys who known each other for a long time….this is the picture in the end of the first day….

It took about two weeks to get him into it and then he absolutely loved it.
So this was interesting time for me. First time since kids I had free time! I mean 6 h a day to do want I wanted to do. Wow!
So I started yoga. Proper classes and proper teacher. And hard yoga it was but I loved it. Went there every morning 3-4 times a week.
October birthdays were Chris and James’s. Out for meals as usual.

For October half term that was super rainy and mudslides everywhere I decided to drive up to Khao Sok to a elephant sanctuary. Usually the drive takes about 2h took us over 4h. The rain was relentless and the steep winding road was, interesting to drive…..
I had booked a jungle tree house for two nights. It was beautiful.

At the restaurant downstairs we made a new friend, he was so cute
Next day we visited the rescued elephants♥️

After Khao Sok we drove over to west side to Khao Lak. To finally see the place where the disaster struck some twenty years ago. Took a wander down to the beach and it’s quite eerie to stand there and trying to understand what people went through…
There’s two museums where you can go and learn about the disaster. One is a one man band who was 12 years at the time and he lost almost his entire family. He displays photos and videos from the disaster and to speak to him made me choke up…for some reason I can’t find the photo of him…
We then went to the official museum but honestly, the first one was better.
Our hotel was nice but it rained almost all the time.

The time of year, Halloween was coming up. Friend of ours Catlin and American throws the party of the year. We did spend some time to get our costumes sorted.

Great evening, good food and a lot of fun.
