Back in U.K we went pretty much straight to a housesit in Watford. Only to be asked to housesit our own house! Noooo. So decided to split the family. Charlie, Alice and I stayed in Watford and Chris and James went to Chorleywood. All good.

The great thing with housesit of course is things like dishwasher , microwave and tv, as you know. The kids don’t obviously know how to sort a dishwasher out! Really?

We met friends, picked a lot of blackberries and of course tv and gaming. We then joined in our own sit for the last 4 days which was really strange.
I was walking around looking into the rooms, the view, opening and shutting cupboards and wondering what our life’s would have been if we would have stayed? Easier for sure but guaranteed boring…
It was the hottest summer ever. Everything was brown. I didn’t complain. I was rather smug that I could take the heat when everyone else was moaning.
So decided to drag the kids to Kensington palace. No worries as such but when you have to get off the tube because of a bomb scare, to have to take a bus but the bus driver didn’t turn up, to go to another bus and then to have to walk all across Hyde Park in that heat, kids moaning….even I lost my rag. Bloody hell!

We also met up with Stewart, Yuris and Natalie from Colombia who we met first time back in 2014. Stewart is the helicopter pilot who on our second day in Santa Marta got chatting to Chris and invited us for a roast dinner on the Sunday. I seriously thought that I heard that wrong. Sunday roast? In Colombia?
So nice to catch up.

We did so much. Hampton Court, Lego land, more friends and as I’m trying to catch up on this blog a lot of details get left out. So the pictures can speak.

James, Mr cool. Not impressed with the ride….

Louise Walker and Chris Dixon. Another get together.
And that was that summer. Of course there’s millions of photos and a a lot of stories, so much fun but time was flying as usual and schools calling, time to go back to Thailand.
